Make Orphans Happy by Gifting New Clothes on Eid al-Fitr
Friends, as we know, caring for orphans is one of the noble deeds exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Prophet even explained that those who honor, care for, and love orphans will attain paradise, the distance of which is like the space between two fingers. SubhanAllah, it's truly remarkable.
Eid is synonymous with new clothes, but there are children out there who are unlucky not to wear new clothes on Eid due to economic factors in their families.
One of them is Rifki, the eldest of two siblings. Rifki is currently in the 6th grade. Rifki says he wears whatever clothes he has on Eid, the best ones in his wardrobe, because his family's condition is modest, living in Desa Sagu, NTT.
But, Rifki says, it's okay not to wear new clothes; he should still be grateful for what he has.
On Eid, Rumah Zakat invites friends to share happiness with children like Rifki, so they can wear new clothes on Eid.
